Monday, March 14, 2005 P and I were having a great time in Oxford, until her Ka's clutch spazzed out on Sunday morning, leaving its pedal flat on the floor. Time for Tesco breakdown cover to strut its stuff, and fifty minutes later E.T's twin arrives with an unopened Haynes manual. He decides that we'll have to be towed home after peering under the bonnet for two seconds, without once looking at the clutch area or starting the car. So after his promised thirty-five minute wait we wait some more, and an hour or so later geezer No.2 arrives and loads the car up. He then took us all the way home to Worthing. Slowly. Still, had a fantastic curry in the evening, which has produced farts so loud today I've a feeling next door heard them!! :D posted by jpa @ 8:25:00 PM sob... Monday, March 07, 2005 We ripped out our stairs and landing carpet on Saturday in preparation for the new one in a week's time. However to save me a tip run I've put the old rolled carpet out with the rubbish to see if the bin men include it. ;) Hmm, we'll see if they do in a couple of hours... UPDATE @ 11:33am: Hooray!
