Happy Birthday to the lovely P. Only a mere 32 years old, bless. We stayed the night at the Alexander House Hotel, making use of its spa facilities and three course meal. The roast of the day was lamb, then beef, then lamb again, and the chicken ceasar salad eventually arrived as salmon. My service wasn't so incompetent, even if the whitebait did come with some impulsive mayo floating in chilli sauce. But on the positive side at least the hum of the air conditioning units outside our bedroom window kept me company into the early hours. I don't think we'll be visiting again.
